Our founder stood at the French doors of her river house in Florida, coffee in hand, looking out at what was
supposed to be her oasis. But what she saw? A dusty grill, a lawn turning into a mini jungle, flower beds begging for
life, and patio furniture that might as well have been on the surface of the sun.
She thought: “I wanted to have some friends over today”. Instead, she felt that sinking realization: “I’ve got a list of
chores that’ll take all day. And by the time I’m done, I’ll be too tired to enjoy any of it.”
She felt trapped in a cycle she never signed up for. The backyard was supposed to be a retreat — a place for latenight laughs, epic dinners, quiet morning moments, and spontaneous gatherings. Instead, it had turned into another
project. Another never-ending to-do list.
In that moment of frustration, a new question sparked:
